Day upon day of gray mornings, unchanging days, cold gray nights, the light at 7am hardly any different than the light at 7pm. It tends to depress me.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dailyfieldnotes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IMG_2859.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-43\" title=\"yellow and turquoise, aug2010\" src=\"http:\/\/dailyfieldnotes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IMG_2859.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"617\" height=\"515\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So recently I grabbed my camera and went stalking color, inspired by a series called <a href=\"http:\/\/teaandcookies.blogspot.com\/2009\/04\/stalking-wonder.html\">stalking wonder<\/a> on a blog I enjoy. Somehow it made the summer gray more bearable to think about bundling up, going for a walk, and looking for color amidst the city buildings shrouded in fog.<\/p>\n<p>And I found the most glorious PURPLE bougainvillea.
